Moving to Kelso is a CSV upload, not a rebuild
Already run a back in stock app and thinking about switching? Export your subscriber list, upload the CSV into Kelso, and your list and their variant picks come with them. No export button in your old app? Email us and a person moves it by hand.
Free to install. Plans from $0, upgrade only if you outgrow it.
The first 50 stores to install lock today's price for as long as they stay subscribed. No countdown, the count is real.
Four steps, no downtime
Export your list
Download your subscriber list as a CSV from whichever app you're leaving. Most back in stock apps keep this under settings or exports.
Upload it to Kelso
Drop the CSV in during setup. Subscribers and the exact variant each one picked come with them, nothing to re-enter by hand.
Turn on the widget
Add the "Notify me" button in your theme editor. It matches your storefront, and you set the copy and colors.
Uninstall the old app, on your own time
Run both for a day or a month if you want. There's no deadline and no gap where customers can't sign up.
No export button? We'll do it by hand
Some apps don't make it easy to get your own list back out. If yours doesn't have an export option, email support@kelsohq.com with what you're working with. A person replies in hours and helps you find a path, no ticket queue.
Your waitlist doesn't start from zero
- Subscribers. Everyone on your CSV comes in as a subscriber in Kelso.
- Variant picks. If someone wanted the medium in green, that stays attached to them, not just the product page.
- EU compliance. Double opt-in is a toggle, on by default for EU storefronts, so nobody needs to reconfirm by hand.
- Your ESP setup. Kelso fires subscribe and restock events into Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Omnisend if you already send through one of those, or Kelso can send for you instead.
- No downtime. Keep your old app running until Kelso is live, then uninstall it whenever you decide.
The same CSV path works no matter where you're coming from
We've written up the numbers for six apps merchants switch from most:
- Leaving Appikon? See the Appikon comparison.
- Leaving Swym? See the Swym comparison.
- Leaving Amp? See the Amp comparison.
- Leaving STOQ? See the STOQ comparison.
- Leaving Notify!? See the Notify! comparison.
- Using Klaviyo's built-in back in stock flow? See the Klaviyo comparison.
Running a different app? The CSV upload works the same way either way, email us if you get stuck.

Common questions about switching
Does my waitlist actually carry over?
Yes. Export your current app's subscriber list as a CSV and upload it into Kelso. Subscribers and their variant picks come over together, so you are not starting from zero.
I have a big list. Is there a size limit on the import?
Yes, and here are the real numbers. One import run takes up to 2000 rows and up to 200 different variants, from a file under 5 MB. Go over any of those and Kelso stops and tells you the exact count instead of importing part of it, so you split the file and run it again. Most stores fit in a single run. A long running waitlist might take two or three.
What if my current app doesn't have a CSV export?
Email support@kelsohq.com with what you're working with and a person will help you find a path. That person usually replies in hours.
Will I lose subscribers in the move?
No. The CSV upload adds subscribers to Kelso, it doesn't delete anything in your old app. When the import finishes, Kelso shows how many rows came in and how many were skipped, so nothing quietly goes missing. If the skipped count looks off, email us and we'll dig into it with you.
Is there any downtime while I switch?
No. Install Kelso, upload your CSV, and turn on the widget whenever you're ready. Your old app can keep running the whole time, so there's no gap where a customer can't sign up.
Do variant picks like size and color carry over too?
Yes. Kelso matches at the variant level, so a subscriber who wanted the medium in green only hears about that combination coming back, not every restock of the product.
Does the switch cost anything?
Kelso is free to install, and the free plan includes unlimited subscriber capture. You only pay if you outgrow the free send allowance, and even then it's a flat monthly price with no revenue share.
